On April 13, 2026, video game publisher Handelabra Games announced that it had purchased both the "Greater Than Games" brand and Sentinel Comics — the basis for the Sentinels of the Multiverse game line from Christopher Badell, Paul Bender, and Adam Rebottaro, who founded the publishing company in 2011.
On May 12, 2026, in a move that many had hoped would come to pass, Christopher Badell and Paul Bender have regained ownership of the Greater Than Games brand, as well as the rights to their original IP, Sentinel Comics, which includes the aforementioned Sentinels of the Multiverse and Sentinel Comics: The Roleplaying Game. Here are excerpts from the press release announcing this event:
"Greater Than Games has always been about more than just publishing games — it's about building experiences and communities. Over the years, the brand has grown and evolved, but its heart has always been with the people who create and play these games. Being able to steward that again is both a responsibility and a privilege. We're excited to reconnect with our community and continue building something special." —Paul Bender (Chief Executive Officer)
Badell and Bender are joined by GTG veterans SaRae Henderson (Art Director), Matthew Kroll (Creative Director), and Katie Nale (Chief Operating Officer).
"A year ago, I wasn't sure I'd ever get to come back to this. Sentinel Comics has been the defining creative work of my life — fifteen years of stories, characters, and worlds I love — and watching it become uncertain was genuinely painful. So when I say this feels like coming home, I mean it. I'm back in the Multiverse. We all are. And we're just getting started." —Christopher Badell (Chief Creative Officer)
Badell and original Sentinel Comics artist and co-creator Adam Rebottaro will be working together on new and exciting content in the Sentinel Comics Multiverse, starting with reprints of all existing Definitive Edition products for Sentinels of the Multiverse and then moving on to a new expansion, coming to crowdfunding in 2027.
What's more, Greater Than Games has announced that it will be present at Gen Con 2026 (Booth 2856) with two new titles for purchase, both of which are due out in Q3 2026. One of those titles is Digital Detox, a 3-8 player game from Christopher Badell that plays in 15-3o minutes. Here's an overview:
Unplug and set your phone down for some digital detox! In this analog party game, work to clear out your endless feed of cat videos, posts, memes, and more. Pass off your worst time-sinks, dodge the ones sent back to you, and reduce your screen time. Watch out for livestreams as they can either generate — or dispose — of a lot of screen time. Whoever empties their hand first wins.

The other title is the 2-4 player game Crime Scene Tamperer from The Brothers Chaps, a.k.a. Mike and Matt Chapman, the creators of Homestar Runner:
You are some of the worst criminals in Brainblow City, but not worst as in, like, worst offenders...worst as in: You’re all terrible at being criminals.
Now you've all been caught red-handed at the crime scene, and here comes world famous private eye/crooked cop Dangeresque to investigate. Lucky for you, he likes to monologue. There's still a chance to tamper with the evidence and pin the crime on one of your fellow lawbreakers before he finishes his investigation!
Each player must manipulate the crime scene to make another player guilty while not incriminating themself. During each of the game's three scenes, you must remain as innocent-appearing as possible, and whoever ends up with the fewest guilt tokens wins.
