Ten years after the debut of Asger Aleksandrov Granerud's bicycle racing game Flamme Rouge, publisher Lautapelit.fi has released Flamme Rouge: Champion Edition, which includes the base game, the Peloton and Meteo expansions released in 2017 and 2018, a new Challengers module, and related doodads.
One category of doodad is scenery, some of which is decorative, some of which serve as reminders for track pieces with special rules, and some of which can make the track more challenging by narrowing it to a single lane.
Another category is the storage system, which gives each racer a separate box for their game components, with room available for the (separately available) Grand Tour expansion from 2024.
Still another doodad category is achievement stickers that might be ideal for those playing with the same group repeatedly: "The rulebook contains a list of achievements, how to earn them, and which award stickers you may glue to the deck box of your player color once earned. They are split between Rosettes, Medals, a Trophy, and finally Yellow Jersey & Sponsorship sticker. The Yellow Jersey are awarded through playing the Grand Tour, while all the others may be completed with just the Champion Edition."
Lautapelit.fi will have Nordic, English, and Polish editions of Flamme Rouge: Champion Edition, with the English edition anticipated to be available at SPIEL Essen 26. Pegasus Spiele should have the German edition available at that show ahead of its 30 October 2026 release date, and editions are also coming from Gigamic and Stronghold Games.
