To Repeat Myself, Skip Amazon Prime Days

Don't believe the hype, and don't be sold down the river

In July 2026, I wrote an article titled "Why You Should Skip Amazon Prime Days" to coincide with Amazon's Prime Day "sales" event, and on 6-7 October 2026 Amazon is running another such bogus event: Prime Big Deal Days.

I'm amused by Amazon apparently leaning into the 6-7 meme, but other than that, I invite you to revisit the earlier article to learn why to give purchases on Amazon a pass. The immediate answer is that many listed sale prices are not actually discounted; the long-term answer is that Amazon is a sales behemoth that destroys industries by forcing creators and companies to adhere to its policies to their own detriment.

Again, please read the earlier article, then turn elsewhere to shop for games that interest you.
