U.S. publisher Dire Wolf has done a bang-up job adapting Frank Herbert's Dune for tabletop play thanks to Paul Dennen's Dune: Imperium, so now it's taking on another epic science-fiction series: Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time.
War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time is a two-player game that combines tableau -building, set-collection, and area-control mechanisms. From the publisher:
There are two ways to fight the War of the Dragon: Hero Mode, recommended for new players, and Epic Mode, where you take control of massive armies. Both game modes span the years from The Battle of the Two Rivers depicted in The Shadow Rising, through the cataclysmic events of "The Last Battle" that decide the fate of the world.

As your strategy unfolds, you must balance short-term advantages against long-term preparation for The Last Battle; individual objectives can help you along the way, but peak too early and you might see your advantages turn to dust. When The Last Battle is concluded, either The Dragon or The Dark One will stand alone in victory, their achievements determining the fate of the world.
Dire Wolf will crowdfund War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time, which will have "learn to play" events at Gen Con 2026, and invites you to register for updates on this project, with two promo cards promised for pledges.

Pop Art Games is a new San Diego-based publisher founded by Jerry Bennington and Chris Rappley, and it will debut with a June 2026 crowdfunding project for Dragon Ball Z: The Board Game Saga, designed by Lynnvander Studios.

DBZ:TBGS is a co-operative game for 1-4 players that's organized in twelve boxed episodes that can be played individually or as a campaign. From the publisher:
Players step into the shoes of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and other Z fighters as they battle iconic villains through the unforgettable story arcs in the series.

Each game session unfolds over a series of intense turns that combine strategic movement, power-ups, and combat that captures the spirit of the beloved television show. Players keep track of their power levels to determine how many actions they have each turn, prepare for combat, and unleash their individual techniques in dice battles against classic foes. By raising power levels and managing stress, players can unlock new forms for their fighters, master stronger techniques, and push the limits to defend Earth.

Players must work together to KO their enemies before the villains gather all seven Dragon Balls or time runs out.
