On May 14, 2026, Asmodee USA announced three new non-exclusive hobby distribution agreements with publishers Chaosium, Inc., Dire Wolf Digital, and
Capstone Games. From the press release announcing these deals:
The partnerships expand asmodee USA's already robust catalog and further solidify its position as the premier one-stop distribution partner for hobby retailers across the country.
Under each agreement, asmodee USA will serve as a non-exclusive hobby channel distributor for the respective publisher's titles, giving retailers streamlined access to some of the most sought-after game lines in the industry alongside thousands of other titles within the asmodee USA portfolio.
Titles from these publishers will still be available through other distributors such as ACD, GTS, PHD, and Universal (formerly Alliance), but now asmodee USA will carry their titles as well.
Why are game publishers cozying up to asmodee in this way? Dire Wolf declined to comment, but Clay Ross from Capstone Games said it's a simple matter of placing their titles in front of more potential buyers:
ANA enhances the accessibility of our products across retail stores in the USA. Retailers looking to stock games like CATAN, Ticket to Ride, Lorcana, and SWU [Star Wars: Unlimited] must order through ANA. This partnership increases our brand's visibility among retailers that primarily rely on ANA or other distributors where our products are not available.
With this new relationship, we are significantly enhancing our distribution coverage for North American retail stores. Our collaboration with ANA allows us to reach a broader audience and ensure our products are readily available to consumers. I understand the concerns some gamers may have regarding competitive dynamics, but we believe that expanding our distribution network ultimately benefits everyone involved by increasing visibility and sales opportunities for our games.
The support from the ANA sales team has been instrumental in our strategy. Their proactive approach and deep understanding of the market enables us to effectively showcase our upcoming products to a wider range of retailers. This collaboration allows us to focus on growing our brand while continuing our relationships with existing distribution partners. Ultimately, our goal is to foster a healthy supply chain that enhances the gaming experience for everyone.
Here's more from asmodee's press release:
These partnerships are the latest milestone in asmodee USA's deliberate, long-term strategy to build the most comprehensive and compelling hobby game portfolio available through a single distributor. By partnering with world-class publishers across the full spectrum of hobby gaming — from roleplaying games and deck-builders to complex strategy titles — asmodee USA is making it easier than ever for hobby retailers to consolidate their ordering, reduce vendor complexity, and discover high-demand products all in one place.
For hobby retailers, this means more buying power, more selection, and a deeper relationship with a distribution partner that is invested in the long-term health and growth of the hobby channel. Asmodee USA's mission is not simply to move products, it is to serve as a true strategic partner to retailers: helping them curate the right assortment, anticipate demand, and grow their businesses.
"At Asmodee USA, we are building more than a distribution catalog — we are building a partnership ecosystem that puts retailers first. These three agreements reflect our unwavering commitment to bringing the best publishers in hobby gaming under one roof. Our goal is simple: when a retailer thinks about their next order, we want them to think of asmodee USA as the partner that has everything they need to drive traffic, build communities, and grow their store. Today's announcements bring us one step closer to that vision, and we're just getting started." — Julien Sharp, Country Manager, asmodee USA
