Feuerland Spiele prepares for SPIEL Essen 26, and Krakel Orakel expands

I look at a lot of newsletters, press releases, and social media, often seeing games kind of announced in those settings, but not fully exposed. Here are a few partial reveals I've seen recently:

In its February 2026 newsletter, Worthington Publishing had a section for "some titles and topics we hope to get to" in 2026, including two titles from David Thompson, Trevor Benjamin, and Roger Tankersley — The Irregulars: Lawrence of Arabia and The Irregulars: Rogers Rangers. Here's the publisher's short description of what's coming:

Take on the role of opposing commanders across two historically inspired conflicts, issuing orders to your Regular and Irregular units. Regulars are powerful but slow and easy to track. Irregulars are fragile, but stealthy and capable of unleashing devastating surprise attacks.
Krakel Spektakel has a non-final cover design, while the expansion covers are final

The party game Krakel Orakel from Die 7 Bazis and TOPP landed a Spiel des Jahres nomination in 2025, and September 2026 will bring a standalone sequel game: Krakel Spektakel. (In case you missed the news, Ravensburger will release Mind the Lines, an English-language version of this game, in Q3 2026.)

Gameplay remains the same as in the original game: given a random term, draw something only on dotted lines on your personal game board that will ideally help others identify that term. Krakel Spektakel features five hundred new terms, eight double-sided game boards, and new game modes, with a spinner being used to determine the mode for each round.

Ahead of that expandalone title, May 2026 will bring two Krakel Orakel expansions, one titled simply Erweiterung (or "extension") and the other titled Ü18-Erweiterung, that is, an extension for those 18 and over. Each consists of 260 new terms on 130 cards.

Just as French publisher Catch Up Games has released booster pack expansions for Faraway and Castle Combo, in mid-2026 it will release Courtisans: Diplomates & Confidents, a booster that contains 18 cards and two new roles for Romaric Galonnier and Anthony Perone's 2024 game Courtisans, with rules for team play and up to six players fighting for status among the royals.

German publisher Feuerland Spiele has teased Greenwood — its SPIEL Essen 26 release — in its March 2026 newsletter. Here's a (translated) overview of this game from Christos Giannakoulas and Manolis Zachariadis, who design together frequently as "Goblins on Board":

On this secluded peninsula at the edge of the fabled archipelago, you will experience the primal essence of the forest like nowhere else on Earth. Wander amidst botanical wonders such as the Moonlight Moss, the mysterious Whispering Roots, or the Healing Lilies of the Untouched Valley. Observe magical creatures — including Koboldwings, silent Night Stalkers, and shimmering Crystal Deer — in all their magnificent glory.
Book your journey to Greenwood today! The Druids of the High Circle look forward to your visit.
HALT! STOP!

Work-in-progress front cover for Greenwood
Under no circumstances should you book! Greenwood is a lie! This supposed paradise is, in truth, a living hell. The mystical creatures are not here of their own free will. They were forcibly abducted from their natural habitats and are being held captive and exploited by the High Circle. The Druids harness the powers of these mystical creatures for their rituals and to brew magical potions. This exploitation must be stopped!
This is a call to arms for all clans with the courage to resist the Druids of the High Circle. Use the darkness to your advantage and infiltrate the system under the cover of night. May the Moon protect you!

Additionally, Feuerland Spiele has been working on Die Dänen ("The Danes"), a standalone game set in the universe of A Feast for Odin, an Uwe Rosenberg design that debuted from Feuerland in 2016. Company owner Frank Heeren gave a brief video demo of Die Dänen in German in September 2025, and BGGers have thoughts in this thread about what they saw.

(Feuerland mentions that development on Die Dänen is so extensive that its second edition of Gloomhaven has been pushed to 2027, so it plans to reprint the first edition of Gloomhaven to keep it available on the German market.)
